Shockman was originally released in 1991 by Hudson Soft for the Turbografx-16. In the game you play as Arnold and Sonya, who two years earlier had been made into Shockmen. The game plays as a side-view action shooter with some platformer elements in which you set out to rescue the professor, who has been captured by the evil Ryo Empire. While playing with another player you can perform a powerful Team Shockbeam and have shared life, which creates a more cooperative game play.
