Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Monday September1, 2008 1:50 pm in SNES
Set in the Mushroom Kingdom and featuring its cast of well-known characters, this adventure RPG begins with a familiar scenario: Mario™ must rescue Princess Toadstool™ from Bowser™. However, a mysterious new enemy named Smithy soon appears, and Mario and Bowser are forced to fight as allies for the first time in their long history. In the quest to defeat their powerful new foe, they’ll journey across a wide variety of locations (a town of mining moles, a tropical forest, a thundering waterfall—just to name a few) and tackle a mix of obstacles requiring both expert timing and strategy to overcome. Along the way, they’ll gain experience and grow more powerful, while also meeting new characters whose unique abilities will be needed to take on Smithy and his gang. Striking a perfect balance of traditional RPG elements and the action-packed game play Mario is famous for, it’s easy to see why this title has earned “legendary” status.

Best Game.
Ever.
=D
God I am so happy that Super Mario RPG is on the virtual console now and on top of that I bought a wii points card and downloaded this game the same day it came out plus The Legend of Zelda for the NES and The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past for the Super NES. I just think that with playing Zelda for both the NES and Super NES on the virtual console you feel like your playing the original because to me I think that playing those games on the GBA isn’t fun to me in my opinion but for Super Mario RPG Nintendo has done it again! Now all Nintendo has to do is rerelease more great games for the virtual console. They should rerelease,
1. The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask for the N64
2. Donkey Kong 64 for the N64
3. Star Fox for the SNES and N64 because I never played a Star Fox game
4. my last request Chrono Trigger for the Super NES.
Star Fox 64 is already on there…
Chrono Trigger is never going to happen… I’m hoping we’ll see Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island Soon… boy did I love that game
Chrono Trigger won’t happen because of the upcoming DS re-release (why charge $8 when they can charge $35?). Also if you don’t like playing a GBA game, use the Gameboy Player on a Gamecube. Though tracking one down might be more trouble than just shelling out the money for a VC release.
