Sword of Vermillion, a roll playing game, for the Sega that was originally released in 1990. In this game you take on the role of Erik’s son, who must set upon an adventure to defeat the evil Tsarkon and bring peace back to the world. Sword of Vermillion breaks away from the standard views used in RPG games with varying views for different situations such as a first person perspective while in dungeons. Other views found through out the game are the usual overhead angle for towns, a tilt overhead view while in battles, as well as a platform game styled view for boss fights. Another unusual change is that battels are in real time with no menu based selection for fighting thus putting the player in full control of the character through out the who battle. One down fall of Sword of Vermillion is that it is short in comparison to other roll playing games of the time.
