Virtual Console Releases For July 28 2008

Monday July28, 2008 9:22 am in Quick Blip

I’m posting on Friday, because this week has been a bit hectic for me, but really that isn’t a very good excuse. None the less, Nintendo released two new virtual console games and one new WiiWare game earlier this week, but I’m really not sure how excited anyone has been about any of these games. For the virtual console we now have Chase H.Q. for the TurboGrafx-16 and Art of Fighting 2 for the Neo-Geo, while on the WiiWare we now have Pong Toss-Frat Party Game. So enjoy the games, or don’t, I’ll see you again next Monday.

He has a life outside of this site you know. And he does this as free service to convenience us; I’d call it uncool to judge him. When I didn’t see any update by noon last Monday, I just went to the Wii Shop myself and looked. Whatever.

Anyway, I have a prediction: tomorrow Nintendo will release 2 VC games and 1 WiiWare game. And nobody will care about any of them. That’s my theory.

Relax, John. I’m not trying to pick a fight. So, I’m sorry if I’ve offended you in some way with my last comment.

I just think people take this all way too seriously. Week after week, this guy posts info on the latest releases and there are comments from people that I swear think he works for Nintendo and is handpicking the games. I just think the site’s host should be allowed to be a little late once in a while.

And for all it should matter, I don’t whine about anything anymore. I usually try to make light of the situation. Most VC games available right now suck and it just doesn’t bother me anymore. It’s no use complaining or naming games we’d all like to see; it won’t change whatever ridiculous ideas are running through Nintendo’s offices. I come back every week hoping to see something (anything) I might want to enjoy again. If one is actually added, that’s fantastic. If not, oh well. I have other games I can play.

But that’s my humble opinion. Again, I apologize if you’re insulted with anything I’ve said. It was not my intention.

Hudson Soft’s website lists Ys Book I & II (Turbo-CD) as one of the games for August 4th. Judging from all of the positive GameFAQs reviews, this might be worth a download.
