Virtual Console Releases For April 28 2008

Monday April28, 2008 7:18 am in Quick Blip

It’s a new week and Nintendo has released just a single new virtual console game on the Wii today, but it appears that this time they may have picked one that more people will be happy with. This week’s new game is: Double Dragon for the Nintendo.

I hope they release Super Mario RPG just because that would eliminate about 90% of the bitching about Virtual Console.

… or I suppose then people would move on to Mega Man, Super Mario Kart, Super Punch-Out!!, etc.

Alright, I’m fine with Nintendo releasing one game every once in awhile, but the least they could do is own up to that fact by changing the template for the game updates so that it doesn’t refer to that one game as multiple games. Like this week for Double Dragon. Go on the Shop Channel and click the thing that says that new “games” were added on 4/28. In the article, it refers to this week’s “releases” (plural) a few times…

I’ll buy this… and I haven’t been able to say that in a while.

…River City Ransom one week…Double Dragon the next!? You mean not only do I get two games that I’ve actually HEARD OF, but I get two games that are actual classics that I want to buy!?!?!?!? As much as I’d like to pat Nintendo on the back, I think, “It’s about time” it’s more appropriate.

Maybe my weekly complaining has worked…(or it’s a coincidence)
