This week’s line up of games released for the Virtual Console are: Gradius III for the Super Nintendo, Wonder Boy in Monster World for the Sega Genesis, and Battle Lode Runner for the TurboGrafx-16. Be sure to check back on Thursday for this week’s video demo.

wow… seems like a pretty stingy week.
Yep, it sure does.
guess nintendo wants to keep some A-list titles for later.
Did you hear also about Neo Geo signing on to have games released on VC?
Yeah, I have a feeling they are keeping all of the good titles to fill in the gaps between their big releases for the Wii its self.
As for Neo Geo signing on, yes I heard about that when it first happened but decided not to mention it here because it had already propagated out to so many other sources. I also figured that I only really update on the actual releases them selfs and the Thursday video demos.
I’m looking forward to playing some Neo Geo games, as I’ve heard there are quite a few good ones out there that I never got a chance to play.
I know, the office I work at has an old Neo Geo arcade unit, has some strange Street Fighter esque clone. But yea, can’t wait to see what they release for it. I also hope that they will release like gameboy games up to the gameboy advanced system games. that would be cool too.
Chris, you should demo Wonder Boy, as it’s probably the least known game there (plus I want to see it lol).
As for the Neo Geo rumor, it’d be nice to see some fighters, though the controller would be an issue there.
I think I’ll take your suggestion Sketch, I’ve got the extra Wii points right now so look forward to the demo this Thursday.
As for the Neo Geo games, from what I heard they are planning on releasing some of the more obscure and more unknown games first. So when they get around to actually making releases it should be pretty interesting to see what they come up with for the first few releases.
The controller could very well be an issue, of course the games will probably be only playable with the GameCube and Classic controllers. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how well it feels with some actual play time.
yea, my guess would be neo geo games would need the classic controller. Though their might be a few that could utilize the wiimote by itself.
