A Goodbye

I’m sorry to say this, but I do suppose that this will be my last post. I really wish I could have lasted longer than this, but with the inconsistency with posting the new games on Mondays, trying to keep all of the games in order, and my lack of posting screen shots I think it is time for me to say goodbye to Virtual Console Mondays. I really do appreciate all of the people that have come to this site and even more so to the ones that continued visiting the site as well as those that commented on the postings.
I will definitely have to mark this project as being a success, since throwing the ON switch back on January 23 2007 this little site has generated ~260k visits and just shy of 500k pageviews with just enough ad revenue to cover the hosting costs, which was all I ever hoped to do. I’ve learned a lot from running this site and I only hope that the service that I provided helped you, the reader, out in what you were looking for.
Since I feel bad about just up and turning things off like this, I do hope that you’ll give www.vc-reviews.com a try, as I know that they do a very good job and keep a well run site.

I understand how it is, but you will be missed. On behalf of everyone, thank you for all that you’ve done. Your resource was valuable and your efforts selfless.

Well, Chris, thanks for keeping the site going as long as you did. I found it to be a nice, quick resource to see what was out that week. (Nintendo’s own site is a bit slow, and IGN is inconsistent.) Thanks for the work, and let’s hope we see MOTHER someday!

Yeah, thanks for keeping the site going while it lasted, man. I came here quite a bit when I first bought my Wii. I very much enjoyed your reviews, as well as coming here to see the comments people left. The Singing Jew was a little ridiculous, but it’s just one of the many memories I will have of visiting this place. Good luck in the future!!
Also wanted to share: this site got me into the habit of checking what Nintendo releases every Monday. When I think of Mondays, “Virtual Console Mondays” is at the back of my head…
don’t do it… even if you just post the names of the games when they are released, with the price and original console, u r good to go… no description, no screenshots… just a few lines every monday.
That’s really too bad, man. I liked this website.. When IGN didn’t post the new VC releases and they weren’t yet on the VC, I’d always come to this website. It’s a shame it’s closing down.

I’ve been following since April of 2007 when my wii finally came in. I really enjoyed coming here every Monday morning for a quick check to see if my favorite games as a kid mad it to VC. Thanks Chris good job

I came here every week since buying the wii and i thank you for what you have done. I like this site over all others because it is not a cluttered mess. Thanks for the job well done and good luck in the future.

I’ll really miss the site buddy! I came here every Monday since I discovered it and it saved me the time (and often the disappointment of not seeing blaster master AGAIN) of loading up the shop channel. If I ever get my butt in gear maybe I’ll get the site from you and revive it.
