Kirby’s Adventure is a side-scrolling platformer game that was originally released in 1993. The story starts when Kirby awakes without having any dreams so he visits the Fountain of Dreams to figure out what is wrong. He then finds that the Star Rod has been broken into seven pieces and he must retrieve each piece to restore the fountain. In the game Kirby has all of the basic moves consisting of walk, run, climbing, jumping, and crouching though what makes him more interesting is his ability to inhale enemies. After inhaling an enemy Kirby can then spit the enemy back out at another enemy or swallow it with the chance that he will then take on the special moves of the enemy just swallowed. Kirby can also inflate himself by jumping twice in a row and will then be able to fly around until he deflates which causes a puff of air to come out of his mouth that causes damage to near by enemies. A side kick can also be performed while Kirby is crouching. Within the eight worlds several mini games can be found which range from quick-draw gun slinging to a toy crane game, all of which are there to allow the player to gain extra lives and rack up points.
