Released in 1987, Kid Icarus is the first of two games in the series. In the game the player takes on the role of Pit, who is a young angle trapped in the underworld where you set out to retrieve the Pegasus Wings, Mirror Shield, and Light Arrows from Medusa’s control. You quickly find yourself running, jumping, and shooting your way through all of the levels of this fine platformer game and will end up enjoying every minute of it as so many others have before.
