Video Demo: Ghosts’n Goblins

May 8, 2008 4:32 pm

It’s Thursday and I have another fresh virtual console video demo ready for the viewing! This week I play the NES classic Ghosts’n Goblins, which is usually known for its fun yet hard platformer game play. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t do so great in this video, but I probably haven’t played this game in well over a decade. So enough chit chat, head on to the video demo after the jump.

Video Demo: Ice Climber

May 1, 2008 3:17 pm

It has taken me a little while, but I just finished this week’s virtual console video demo! This week I play Ice Climber, and well, there really isn’t a whole lot to say about it because the game is pretty self explanatory. The concept is to get to the top of the level without dying, pretty easy enough, right? So without any more filler, I suggest you check out this weeks video demo, which can be found after the jump.

GameJew from mannmade.tv has informed me that he has put out a new video this week and as always he takes a look at this week’s virtual console releases on the Wii. I’ve only watched a bit of the video so far, but from what I’ve seen/heard this week’s songs are pretty good. All you have to do now is follow the jump and press play.

Video Demo: The Legend of the Mystic Ninja

April 24, 2008 3:03 pm

First thing, sorry about missing last week’s virtual console video demo, I’ve been pretty busy although that really is not a good excuse. So, lets get on to this week’s video ok? This week I play the game The Legend of the Mystic Ninja, a Super Nintendo game, on the virtual console. My first reactions to this game were being a bit confused as to what I was supposed to do, but I quickly figured out that whacking the guys and picking up the objects that they drop was a good idea and whacking the girls and getting touched by the guys is a very bad idea.

After the initial wandering around phase I work my way to the first boss of the game, but due to my lack of skill and time spent playing this game I quickly lost after figuring out the weak spot. All in all, I think the game has some potential for being fun if I had spent more time with it and don’t forget there is two player support so that could add a bit of fun as well. So, now I suggest you follow the jump and check out this week’s virtual console video demo and decide for yourself.

Mushroom Singdom

April 17, 2008 1:28 am

Looks like GameJew has done it again with a new singing reviews of this week’s virtual console releases. It truly appears that he did not find the latest games to be much of an addition to the virtual console lineup, but the songs are quite interesting so I suggestion a quick viewing even if you are not interested in Fantasy Zone or Mega Turrican. So in other words, check out this week’s Mushroom Singdom after the jum.

*Note* This week’s virtual console video demo is going to be late, I blame school on it, but hopefully I’ll have a new one up and ready Thursday night or Friday some time.

Video Demo: Golden Axe

April 10, 2008 3:06 pm

Is it really Thursday already? Yes, I suppose it is, which coincidentally means I must have a new virtual console video demo ready. Well, I do and this week I took a look at Golden Axe, a beat em’ up game for the Sega Genesis. From the first few levels that I’ve played the game is decent and only slightly difficult, but then again I’m quite the novice to this particular title. With that in mind, I suggest you check out this week’s virtual console video demo, just follow the jump.

Video Demo: Bravoman

April 3, 2008 1:17 pm

There isn’t much time to spare, so let’s just jump on into this week’s virtual console video demo. This week I play a TurboGrafx-16 game by the name of Bravoman, which is a beat em’ up game that isn’t too thrilling, as far as I can tell from the first few minutes of game play. The rest of the game may be a bit more fun, but you’ll have to just watch the video and choose to find out for yourself or not. So follow the jump and check out the latest virtual console video demo!

Sorry everyone, no April Fools here, unless you consider Nintendo’s consistent releasing of not-so-great virtual console games so far this year to be one big joke on us all. None the less, GameJew has put out a new singing virtual console review so check it out after the jump; I’d also suggest taking his words of advice about this week’s games.
